Whole school assemblies are held on Friday afternoons at 3.00pm-3.30pm. The School Captains/Vice Captains are responsible for leading all assemblies, providing them with the opportunity to model leadership skills and develop confidence in public speaking. All parents and friends are invited and welcome to attend our whole school assemblies.

Each assembly commences with the acknowledgment to Country, followed by the singing of the Australian National Anthem. The School Promise is recited by all of our students. SWPBS Awards are presented at assembly, along with the presentation of PVSPS ribbons. Other information, such as, sports report updates, and upcoming events are shared with school community and achievements are celebrated.

Additional Information about our Assemblies:

• End of term assembly is held at 2:00pm and children are dismissed at 2:30 pm.
• End of year assembly is held at 12.00 and children are dismissed at 1.30pm.
• Assemblies are dependent on the weather. If it is too cold or wet, assemblies are conducted online. The Leadership team will send out an MT invite to all families to link access.

Assembly Process:

• We walk quietly and show respect by sitting and listening.
• We cooperate with our teachers and each other.
• We show confidence when we speak at assembly.
• We listen to the teacher conducting the assembly and wait until we are dismissed.

Acknowledgement to Country

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet today.

We acknowledge and pay our respects to their history, culture and Elders both past and present.
