Our school values of Respect, Caring, Learning and Enjoyment, form the foundation for all that we do at Pascoe Vale South Primary School. Through promoting these core values, we seek to ensure that our students, staff and families feel a sense of belonging and engagement in life at school and beyond.
Respect - is valuing ourselves; treating others fairly; appreciating different circumstances and views; considering others, their property and the environment
Caring - is valuing self, others and the environment; showing empathy, tolerance and understanding; welcoming students, staff, families and friends by promoting a sense of belonging and sharing in our school;
Learning - is embracing new ideas and challenges
Enjoyment – is the outcome of demonstrating the other three values along with developing a positive attitude and a sense of achievement
School Wide Positive BehaviourThe staff at Pascoe Vale South Primary School promote our school values throughout the school by referring the students to our SWPBS Expectations Matrix, which are the school's expectations that we have posted in all classrooms. The expectations are about positive behaviours we like to see in class, in the playground and in the school community. We reinforce the values consistently across the school in weekly lessons, so that students and teachers are all on the same page when it comes to learning and getting along. The SWPBS Matrix was co-designed with students, staff and the community. Pelase see the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support Framework section for more information.
