Research shows that learning music lights up the human brain and promotes neural development. At Pascoe Vale South, we value Visual and Performing Arts and know that students develop many skills by participating in performing arts programs, including confidence and team work! 

All students participate in weekly music lessons taught by a specialist music teacher. These lessons focus on participation in a variety of musical activities – singing, instrument playing, listening, creative, movement and dance activities.  

The dance groups, ‘Think you can dance,’ the school band and choir, are available to all of our students during lunchtime workshops. Students have the opportunity to perform in the school’s biennial concert and Arts’ Carnevale to showcase their talents.

Students are also given the opportunity to participate in private music lessons onsite on a weekly basis delivered by the company Creative Music www.creativemusic.com.au
