Pascoe Vale South Primary School has a current student population of 280 fantastic children. We currently have 12 classes as follows:
At Pascoe Vale South Primary School we expect that all students will progress at least 12 months in their learning based on the Victorian Curriculum. This is the framework on which our teaching and learning programs are based, and is the standard that we use to measure achievement.
Our teaching and learning is also based on differentiated learning, recognising that different children learn at different rates and will be on different parts of the curriculum. The teachers use flexible groupings of students, based on student data and test results, to teach at the different levels.

A typical daily timetable
8:50 - 9:00 Students enter the classroom quietly, read the timetable and set up for the day
9:00 - 11:00 First learning session (e.g. literacy) with a brief break for “brain-food’
11:00 - 11:30 First recess
11:30 - 12:30 Second learning session (e.g. maths or inquiry) with a 10 minute time to eat lunch
12:30 - 1:00 Second recess
1:00 - 2:00 Third learning session (e.g. specialist subject)
2:00 - 2:30 Third recess
2:30 - 3:30 Final learning session (e.g. inquiry or social learning)
